5 ways to Stay Calm During Corona Pandemic

I understand it is not easy to lean in a chair and think about your dream vacation when half of the world is under attack by the Corona and YOU could be its new victim

BUT... you can try and stay calm and perhaps a little positive which in turn, lead to, you feeling good and healthy.

I strongly believe that good health starts with a healthy mind and so lets dig a little deep on how we can try and stay Calm during the Corona Pandemic

1. Breathe, understand, accept:

As simple as it sounds, it is one of the most effective ways to handle stress. Take 5 minutes to sit or lay down and focus on your breathing. Meditate, exercise or perform yoga.
Understand the reality from all the angles. Don't just madly panic over something without analysing the cause and consequence.
Finally accept the reality and your minimum control over something so big. However that doesn't mean you cannot do ANYTHING. Washing hands and staying away from others is one of the biggest factors that will reduce the spread of this devil.

2. And then detox from the news:

Once you have understood and accepted the reality, you also need to detox from the news for at least some time. You got to focus on other big and small things of your daily life for you to not obsess over something. Do your dishes, do the laundry, paint your nails.

3. Prepare and let it go:

Pretty literal, prepare for what it takes to tackle the situation. No DON'T HOARD, just have enough resources for you to keep going for a few days at your "home safe home" and loose control. There is no need to take control of every nano thing involving the situation. Relax!

4. Talk to people:

This is one of the most important things you can do to keep your sanity. Usually in stressful situations you find yourself alone even in a pandemic, ironically. You need to have human  interaction (or pet for that matter) If you don't have anyone, watch videos or read positive blogs. Trust me you'll feel really light after knowing that your friends are going through the same situation and they can still crack you up or make you smile.

5. Feed into things other than the alien:

It can be a little challenging at first to focus on your hobbies but you gotta do what you gotta do. It was hard for me to practice dancing knowing what is happening in the world but eventually I came through. Its okay to have a little stress but then you ought to laugh, love and live too.


These were some very basic ways I myself manage stress with. Hope it helps.

In conclusion, I would say "don't avoid stress, find a middle ground with it" and stay safe
